A growing software tech company in Boston is looking for a highly motivated candidate to join their team as an Accounting Assistant. The Accounting Assistant position supports the accounting department with AP, employee expenses and other accounting duties as assigned. Additionally responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations within the accounting department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Perform the day to day processing of financial transactions to ensure that client accounts are credited and maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner
-Batch and enter high volume client cash receipts on to accounting system
-Scan daily cash batches to client’s bank accounts
-Process and review batch reports to ensure accuracy
-Investigate and resolve customer queries
- Maintain up to date and accurate client database
-Monitor client account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities
REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related Finance degree required.
-At least one year of experience in a professional accounting position, public experience preferred but not required.
-Excellent time management skills.
-Deadline oriented.
-Excellent interpersonal skills.
-Highly analytical and detail oriented with solid conceptual thinking and problem solving skills.
-Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to deal with confidential information.
COMPENSATION:
$22-25/hr
