Engine Instructor (Upper Level License/Ship Chief Engineer)
Duties for this position include adhering to the policies & procedures of the School QSS; teaching assigned courses in accordance with approved curriculum; subject matter expert for course development; maintaining the condition of training aids to support curriculum; participating in professional development activities developed by the School. Responsible for day to day maintenance on the School ship. On call 24 hours a day.
Qualifications for this position are possessing a valid MMC with appropriate management level license; TWIC; the ability to obtain USCG NMC approval to teach School courses; proficiency in public speaking; professional certification as required by USCG; proven maritime proficiency or appropriate experience for subject matter; the ability to lift 40 lbs; Train the Trainer Certification (we will provide). Must maintain shipping credentials at all times.
