Business Group HighlightsCivilian, State and LocalPerspecta’s Civilian, State and Local segment partners with the U.S. Federal Civilian State and Local governments to provide infrastructure services, business solutions, and digital transformation services that help them achieve policy objectives and integrate citizen-centric services.ResponsibilitiesWe have a need for Graphic Designer/Illustrator to support the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS) of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). NESDIS is responsible for the procurement of new flight and ground systems and the modification of existing systems needed to operate the satellites, and to collect, process, distribute, and store satellite data for the nation’s civilian environmental satellite (spacecraft and sensor) program.The Graphic Designer / Illustrator prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts; plans, analyzes, and creates original visual solutions to communications projects and identifies the most effective way to get messages across in print and electronic media using color, type, illustration, photography, animation, and various print and layout techniques.Additional responsibilities include:

Developing the overall layout and production design of magazines, newspapers, journals, corporate reports, and other publications.

Using perspective, isometric, orthographic, and schematic techniques to prepare technical and non-technical illustrations and line drawings for slide presentations, view graphics, reports, brochures, etc.

Producing promotional displays, packaging, and marketing brochures for products and services, designs distinctive logos for products and businesses, and develop signs and signage systems for business and government.

Developing material for Internet Web pages, interactive media, and multimedia projects. Gathers relevant information by meeting with clients, creative or art directors, and by performing own research.

Preparing sketches or layouts—by hand or with the aid of a computer—to illustrate vision for the design.

Qualifications

Requires 2 to 5 years with BS/BA or 0 to 2 years with MS/MA

Experience with Adobe (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc)

Experience with Microsoft products especially PowerPoint

Experience developing complex briefing for government customers

US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain Public Trust clearance
