Description: The Flight Test Engineer’s primary role will be to support flight testing at Patuxent River Naval Air Station on the F-35B and F-35C aircraft as part of the Flight Control Systems (FLCS) Team. The FLCS team is responsible for the following aircraft systems: Air Data, Inceptor Control, Control Surface Actuation, Navigation, and Vehicle Management Systems. Tasks include planning and executing test flights, supporting test flight briefings/debriefings, providing real time control room monitoring of test flights, requesting/analyzing post-flight data, and supporting FLCS anomaly resolution as well as on-aircraft troubleshooting of FLCS hardware.Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret clearance to start.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree.Desired Skills:Familiar with Flight Control Systems equipment or experience with flight test.Computer programming experience.MATLAB experience.Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Windows operating system.Works well within a team and possesses good written and verbal communication skills.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
