Power Supply Design EngineerDescriptionTheApplicant for this position will be responsible for designing as well assupporting production and testing of the power supply systems and design ofpower systems test fixtures or equipment. The candidate must have experience asthe design lead for low voltage power conversion (LVPC) systems. The candidatewill be involved in the development and testing of high reliability power conversionsystems, test and manufacturing and develop and support power system upgradesinto production.The candidate will be a primary point of contact for LVPCsystems and have knowledge/expertise in power system architectures, design, andtesting. Leads LVPC analysis of customer and system requirements anddevelopment of LVPC architectural approaches and detailed specifications forvarious LVPC products. Leads development of high-level and detailed electronicpower supply designs consistent with requirements and specifications. Supportvarious groups of electrical and mechanical engineers responsible for LVPCdesigns and upgrades (at the system and component level) through concept,detailed design (including PCB layout), integration and test, productionrelease, and continuous improvement throughout the product’s life cycleQualificationsBachelorsof Science degree in a related STEM discipline; Electrical Engineering, orComputer Engineering from an accredited college preferred. Excellentunderstanding of analog and digital electronics is required. Minimum of 20 years relevant engineering experiencefocused on architecting, designing, implementing, and testing of high and low voltagepower conversion (LVPC) systems and have knowledge/expertise in power systemarchitectures, design, and test.Relevantexperience designing power conversion systems and the Integrated control of powersystems. Design, test, and troubleshooting of high/low voltage power conversionand analog circuits. Schematic entry, simulation, and analysis of power andanalog circuits. PWB layout for power and analog circuits. Perform worst-caseanalysis on power and analog circuits. Writing performance specifications. Producingtechnical documentation including review materials for customers, performancerequirements, test plans, and analysis reports. Interface with multi-disciplinaryteams to execute design objectives.Experience with power components using Spice (orequivalent circuit analysis tools) and the PCB design process will be needed.The candidate will familiarize himself/herself with an existing low voltage powersupply design, complete its laboratory test/validation, release for production,lead ongoing design improvements for production, and lead new/future powersupply developments. The candidate should display an attention to detail and producedesigns with a high level of accuracy.
