Description:Under direction of the Field Audit Manager and Senior Internal Audit Management, the Internal Auditor conducts field audits and reviews in accordance with Internal Audit standards and policies, with an emphasis on high risk areas and identifying process improvement opportunities. This position can be based in the Eastern half of the U.S. Independently assesses the effectiveness of controls and determines the potential impact of any control failure along with the corrective actions required:
Reviews the suitability of internal control design;
Determines compliance with policies and procedures, and facilitates correction action plan completion;
Provides related training and support to branch management and staff; and
Drives process improvement to enhance company profitability and increase shareholder value.
Working cross functionally with other areas of the business, conduct audits and reviews of assigned program, department, or business group:
Determines scope of review in conjunction with Audit Manager;
Assesses risk and conduct audit testing of specified areas; and
Communicates findings and recommendations to business area and senior management.
Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related Business discipline; CPA or CIA a plus.Experience:
2 or more years of relevant work experience in audit, accounting, or business operations functions.
Solid knowledge of auditing, accounting, or branch operations.
Other Skills Required:
Strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions: Combination of normal office environment, equipment repair shop, and outside storage yard; Approximately 60%-80% travel required (driving and air travel) . Must have access to personal vehicle.
