Energize your career at Exelon!PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONBreakerBox’ (the "Company") lead engineer will serve as the Company’s chief technical architect and developer. BreakerBox has been established to enable digital transactions in retail energy markets and this role is required to translate visual and graphical designs into software products that solve BreakerBox’ users core challenge – transacting energy online.PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Design and implement scalable, traceable, DRY code across the entire tech stack in close collaboration with designers and product team.

Architect the breakerbox platform within the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, leveraging microservices and orchestration into other cloud environments as needed.

Provide leadership for all developers on the team, act as a true lead engineer from a code and culture perspective

Make technical architecture decisions that enable speed to market and don’t hinder scale.

Ensure that BreakerBox’ web and product content is both beautiful and accessible across desktop (yes, even IE) and mobile devices.

Support the hiring, training, and growth of new members of the tech team - providing input and direction on the tech team’s staffing needs.

Qualifications POSITION SPECIFICATIONSMinimum:

8+ years of experience working with web technologies

BS / MS in computer science or a related engineering field, or commensurate experience

Fluency and comfort working with Javascript, React and/or Angular

Fluency and comfort working with git / github

Experience in AGILE environments (tight sprint planning, standups, retros, etc.)

Ability to work with assets inside of Figma (preferred), Sketch, Zeplin, or InVision.

Preferred:

Has previously served in lead engineering positions

Has previously managed a team of engineers
