To date, the company has deployed over 200 networks - enough undersea cable to circle Earth more than 17 times at the equator.Overview:This position reports directly to the Senior Electronics Engineer. While onboard, the ET confers with the Chief Engineer and maintains a professional working relationship with the Captain, Officers, Crew, Representatives, and other Industrial Personnel.Responsibilities & Qualifications

Management of the ISO 9001 cable & test equipment calibration program.

Maintains:

Ship navigation, communication, automation control, CCTV, and safety systems.

Ship networks and computer systems following conventional Cyber Security guidelines.

Assists in compliance of regulatory matters governed by IMO, Flag State, Ship Class Society, US Coast Guard, Port State Authority, FMEA, and FCC.

Must be able to obtain a clearance from the US Department of Defense.

Must be available for worldwide travel. Experience going to sea is beneficial.

A degree in Electronics Technology/Computer Science, equivalent military training, or 4 years of experience with shipboard electronics is required. Experience with managing computers and networks is also required.

Fundamental understanding of the technical principles of electronic equipment functional operation and maintenance.

Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Priority setting and logical troubleshooting ability required.

Adaptable to the fluid [ship] schedules. Works well under pressure.
