The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a Teacher's Assistant to join our Head Start program in Baltimore County. The Teacher Assistant is a critical member of the Head Start teaching team. Teacher's Assistants work collaboratively with multiple Teachers and the Center Administration to ensure the successful operation of the program. The Assistant Teacher works with classroom teachers, family advocates and family members to implement the curriculum to achieve outcomes for children of all abilities. This position serves as a resource to multiple classrooms, to ensure safety and supervision, and regulatory compliance.
Teacher Assistant requirements:
Minimum 90 Hour Child Care Certification, preferably with 45 Hours Infant and Toddler.
Prior preschool experience with children
