Cosmetology Instructor
Aspen Beauty Academy of Laurel (founded in 1984) is committed to providing a career focused education, providing state-of-the-art tools, technology, and instruction to enable students to reach their life and career goals. Cosmetology Instructors are responsible for interpreting the curriculum for students in a thorough, hands on and engaging way; promote professional behavior, ethics and individualized support to the student body.
Responsibilities may include:
Presenting the Curriculum using the Pivot Point methodology (will train)
Classroom activities presented in an engaging, inclusive and hands on way.
Providing student support and counseling to keep students on track and successful despite any personal challenges.
Ensuring classes are fully completed on schedule.
Enforcing ethical and professional behavior at all times.
Making sure students are on track with requirements and academic progress.
Qualifications:
Successful Cosmetology Instructor candidate will possess the following qualities:
Motivated to make a profound impact on students lives via a successful career in cosmetology.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
Knowledgeable with all hair types
Strong knowledge of color, cutting, and chemical procedures.
Eagerness and ability to learn new teaching methods
Requirements:
Maryland Cosmetology License
Teaching experience is a plus
