This dynamic position is for an experienced Kitchen Manager who wants to be hands on, lend their culinary expertise through forward thinking, and demonstrate an innovative style.

Our mission is to continue our familys 90-year presence in the hospitality industry of Ogunquit. We will provide our guests with innovative & deep rooted cuisine while using sustainable foods whenever reasonably permitted. We will always be passionate & enthusiastic while striving to serve the community & traveling public with the freshest & finest foods. We will always try to exceed our guests expectations and present them with a creative & unique atmosphere & an overall dining value.

Responsibilities:

Write schedule, use it to control and manage labor.

Responsible for food P&L.

Ordering/inventory/receiving food and supplies.

Control and manage inventory, perform inventory at regular intervals.

Control the expediting of food out of the kitchen.

Ensure food runner is able to quickly and effectively deliver food.

Scheduling, coaching and training team members to ensure a consistent product.

Responsible for all aspects of food: preparation, production, safety and sanitation.

Coordinates training and ongoing development of kitchen team members.

Ensures proper staffing levels by recruiting, interviewing and hiring as needed.

Communicates with the rest of the management team.

Maintain spotlessly clean and safe kitchen at all times.

Ensure highest quality levels of products and hospitality.

Work a flexible schedule to meet restaurant needs, higher demand in summer and very flexible time off available January - April

Experience Preferred/Required:

At least 3 years of full-service restaurant operation experience

Kitchen Management Experience Preferred

Ability to organize, train and direct team of at least 20 persons.

Must have understanding of food safety and sanitation practices and execution.

Willing to become Serve-Safe certified.

A certain degree of creativity to execute our farm to table menu.

Desire to lead, coach and mentor.

Ability to work in a team environment.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Intermediate math skills.

Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to change.

Excellent organizational skills and detailed oriented.

A passion for food and consistently delivering a great guest experience.
