The Engineering Supervisor at Tru is responsible for the maintenance operation of our brand new 98 room hotel. Being a one person department, the Engineering Supervisor responds and attends to guest repair requests as well as fulfilling work orders from Guest Services and Housekeeping. The ideal candidate will display general knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in the following categories: Preventative Maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, and general building. Reporting directly to the hotel General Manager, this position will serve on call for after-hours emergencies such as a fire alarm, major mechanical failure, etc.
While this position is generally a working position, administrative duties include, but are not limited to:
Oversee purchasing of engineering supplies ensuring an adequate level of inventory.
Assist General Manager with building operation vendors (fire alarm, sprinkler, extermination, etc.).
Establish and maintain records for daily, monthly, and quarterly preventative maintenance.
Establish and maintain records for daily temperature readings.
Job Requirements Include:
Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
Hearing, writing, typing.
Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors.
While this position will be generally during the day, the ideal candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Must be willing to be on-call for after-hours emergencies.
