About the position:
We are currently seeking part time hosts for our 2020 season. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:
Friendly, outgoing, and professional in appearance and demeanor.
Able to work under pressure in a busy, crowded environment.
Work at a fast pace while remaining clean, organized, and professional throughout service.
Able to handle stressful situations with a calm sense of purpose
Shift Duties
The typical shift will be between the hours of 4pm to 9pm. Days of the week are flexible, but weekends are preferred. Common shift responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, answering the phone and taking reservations, assisting the front of house staff with guest service (bringing water to tables, clearing plates and resetting tables, running food, polishing silver, and folding napkins).
Desired Experience
While prior experience is not necessary, it is preferred. We will train each employee to the restaurant's standards, and you will work alongside the owner as you learn the operations of the restaurant. This would be an ideal summer job for high school students, especially those looking to eventually work in the restaurant environment as a server.

Northern Union is a premier wine bar and restaurant in the seaside village of Ogunquit, Maine. We serve a selection of over 100 wines paired with seasonally-inspired, sharable plates and entrees. We are open April through January, and offer free on-site parking for employees.
