Fore Street Restaurant is a high-volume James Beard award winning restaurant. Our philosophy focuses on the finest quality farm to table ingredients and exemplary service. Fore Street is a high volume, fast paced restaurant that is looking for a candidate that fits this profile.

Fore Street is open for 7 days a week for dinner only. Candidates must be able to work both weeknights and weekends.

Hosts must maintain unwavering focus on maintaining a team who respects, takes care of each other and helps to foster an environment where everyone is able to communicate both candidly and respectfully.

In addition, the host is responsible for maintaining an environment where each guest who comes to Fore Street feels genuinely welcome, seen and special. The host will connect with guests to ensure that they are pleased with by their experience at Fore Street with both the food and the hospitality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Seeks, listens and responds to guest feedback, monitors and manages guest complaints, ensures timely and effective resolution.

Preparing for and execution of restaurant flow of service: special requests and occasions, large parties, guest preferences, high volume of phone reservations and professional guest interaction.

Greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, quoting walk-in wait times and working in conjunction

with bar and cocktail service areas for availability and rotation.

Support to service staff: computer questions, food and guest issues, re-fires, appropriate service of alcoholic beverages, etc.

Oversees the reservation system (Open Table), and POS operating systems (Aloha), optimizing guest satisfaction and company profits. System updates and best practices.

Communication of all new initiatives to the staff in relation to food, beverage, inventory, guest management and expectations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks with an appropriate sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment while absorbing and retaining information quickly (good time management skills), with strong attention to detail, proven problem-solving ability, and customer/guest service focused.

High personal integrity, professionalism and maturity with leadership skills. A polished, professional appearance is required.

Aloha POS, Open Table Reservation System proficiency. TIPS, Serve Safe and CPR certification preferred but will train.

Computer literacy (Word and Excel).

Must have the manual dexterity to reach, pull, transfer, lift and carry 25lbs. or less and stand for long periods of time.
