Little Tap House is hiring for two Full Time FOH positions.
Monday - Friday AM Bartending / Serving position. Lunch service will be very fast casual and emphasis will be on the knowledge and maintainence of local rotating draughts. Wine and basic cocktail knowledge will be key as well. As we are positioned between the Westin, Holiday Inn by The Bay, Inn at Spring and Park, and Portland Museum of Art, the right candidate will be excited about beer tourism and able to work independently. Duties will include being the lead on setting up the bar and restaurant for service, handling guest relations, fielding phone calls as they may come in and showing enthusiasm for the local beer scene and Portland tourism. Candidate must commit to the reliability of this position and enjoy being a creative and repeat business builder. Shift will start at 9:45am with service from 11am-3:30pm (out no later than 4pm). (Roughly 30hrs a week with night and weekend shift pick-up possible up as well). This schedule may work perfectly for the right candidate or position may be spread amongst the team as there will be plenty of availability at night as well.
FOH Full Time Server - Mostly PM with some Lunch and Sat & Sun Brunch potential. The perfect candidate is confident in diving right in and enjoys providing exceptionally friendly service to guests. This candidate is also very reliable and is prepared to work a consistent schedule.
Both positions require candidates to have at least 3 years minimum of fine dining or upscale pub experience and enjoy contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Skills must include understanding table positioning, food running, Aloha POS, multi-tasking, ability to independently manage a table while being a team player, and have awareness of all the moving functions of the restaurant. The best personality types that flourish in this particular environment are very detail oriented, enjoy the hustle, provide exceptional guest service and enjoy being upbeat with a can-do attitude. We love what we do and we enjoy meeting a lot of great people along the way!
Candidates should have open availability and be ready to work 4-5 shifts. We can work with two weeks part time to transition from other employment as well.
