Title: Office/Accounting Clerk

Location: Lewiston, Maine 04240

Pay Rate: $11.32 per hour (weekly pay!)

Duration: 4-6 month contract (Potential for permanent!)

Full-time, M-F

As the Office/Accounting Clerk your responsibilities will include sorting checks, keeping payroll records, taking inventory, and distributing mail. In this role you will act as an information and communication distributor for the office.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, and address complaints.

Greet visitors, ascertain their identity, manage sign in and notify appropriate employee of visitor arrival.

Sort documents- recognize their owner, update images as necessary.

Balance ledgers, create payment batches.

Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages.

Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions and other activities.

Compute, record and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports.

Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems.

Skills we are seeking:

High school diploma or equivalent work experience

Entry to 2 years of administrative/customer service-related experience required, some accounting skills is preferred.

Previous experience creating batches and balancing ledgers.

Must be reliable and have great attendance!

Organized and detail oriented.

Experience with 10-key is required.

Excellent math skills.

Ability to work independently and manage ones time.

Ability to keep information organized and confidential.

Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Background check and drug screen required.
