JOB SUMMARYThe Patient Nutrition Associate (PNA) position involves patient meal service, through our Catering To You program. PNA's are responsible for visiting patients in their rooms to take their meal order, assembling the trays from food prepared by the kitchen staff, and then delivering the meals. This position requires serious attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and a positive, friendly, caring attitude. Essential functions include: visit and communicate with patients, and help them make meal selections; assemble patient trays with 100% accuracy; deliver food carts to hospital floors, and meals to individual patients; assist with stocking supplies in multiple areas; process required daily paperwork and documentation; communicate clearly with other staff, both food service and nursing, demonstrate ongoing positive attitude, and work effectively in high demand, team oriented atmosphere; and assist in achieving stated patient satisfaction goals and mission initiatives.JOB REQUIREMENTSExperience:

Prior experience in healthcare nutrition, customer service, or as a waiter/waitress is helpful, but not necessary. We offer training and development, with the opportunity for advancement to applicants who demonstrate potential.

Other Skills Required:

Visit and communicate with patients, and help them make meal selections

Assemble patient trays with 100% accuracy

Deliver food carts to hospital floors, and meals to individual patients

Assist with stocking supplies in multiple areas

Process required daily paperwork and documentation

Must be able to lift, carry, bend, and work while standing for periods of time.

Ability to speak and communicate effectively, and to be friendly, caring, and respectful to all within the organization

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
