Key Responsibilities: Assisting nursing personnel in the OR.

Organizing and maintaining supplies and equipment for patient care.

Patient transport, housekeeping and cleaning duties. Terminal cleaning

of OR rooms. Floor stripping and waxing. Routine core cleaning.

Anesthesia equipment and supply maintenance. Cross train to all OR's.Requirements/Qualifications: ? High school graduate or equivalent required.? Ability to lift up to 30 pounds individually? Ability to assist in heavy lifting (200+ pounds)? Must be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal

skills.? Must be available for weekend and holiday rotation.? Non-restricted call required.? Must be willing to work off shift to help cover.Physical Requirements: Visual acuity, color vision, hearing acuity,

and tactile sensation, ability to read English, manual dexterity, total

body strength and flexibility to move supplies and equipment must be

able to lift up to 30 pounds and to assist with a total lift of a 200+

pound patient with other health care workers. Tables, stools and

equipment are moved several times a day to accommodate cases. Portable

O2 tanks in holders are lifted from the floor onto stretchers. Must be

able to stretch, reach and bend. Must possess the respiratory volumes

and upper body strength to perform CPR. Standing or walking comprises

95% of the ORA/Anesthesia Technician's workday. 5% of the time may be

sitting or collaborating with other health team members. Job involves:

Small amount of sitting. Moderate amount of stooping and pushing.

Large amount of standing, reaching, bending, lifting, manual dexterity,

visual acuity, color vision and walking.WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Fast pace, equipment intensive environment.

Fluctuations in temperature. Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals,

blood and body fluids, infectious diseases, and radiation.
