An assistant property manager oversees 400+ multi site Residential units and 10 commercial properties and the office staff in the property manager's absence. He or she works closely with both the Property Manager and the Leasing Staff to achieve optimum occupancy, customer service and assists with managing related tasked to ensure all are executed as a team. The assistant property manager is responsible for providing exceptional service to residents, future residents and internal team members. This individual will be tracking receipts and expenses, disperses legal documentation, assists in the marketing efforts, assists in budget meetings/processes, and also contributes to the leasing process, maintenance logistics, . Management must have exceptional organizational and recording skills. Highly motivated and career minded individuals that are ready for a fast paced office environment; upward mobility is expected, not just offered. Attention to detail, excellent organization and follow-up skills a must.

Our company has a range of properties: from low-moderate income apartments that work closely with community groups and housing subsidy's i.e. CLC, DHAP, SEC 8, Archdiocese of NOLA, UNITY etc to Middle Upper income apartments on the river and warehouse district and lower garden district, with continuous new projects being acquired or in development.

Furthermore we also have a growing portfolio of commercial properties ranging from office buildings, shopping centers, industrial warehouses and retail parks.

Basic responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

1. Greeting all residents, future residents and internal team members in a professional manner

2. Keeping a high level of service in mind with every task while resolving conflict to benefit all concerned parties

3. Advanced bookkeeping and clerical work

4. Facilitating all aspects in the apartment leasing process

5. Promoting positive resident relations

6. Respecting the boundaries of confidentiality, fair housing laws and safety

7. Planning and executing on site marketing and advertising directives

8. Mentoring and training new leasing consultants

9. Preparing month end reports

Ideal candidates will have:

1. 2-3 years leasing experience

2. 2-5 years in a management position

3. Proven sales track record

4. Knowledge of landlord/tenant laws

5. Ability to multi-task

6. Projection of a professional image by following dress code and appearance standards as set forth by the community

7. Strong customer service background and skills

8. Advanced typing and clerical skills

9. Familiarity with Management Software (Yardi)

10. Reliable transportation

11. Excellent telephone skills

12. A positive, upbeat attitude

13. Analytical aptitude with a gift for numbers

14. Great attention to detail

15. Clean criminal background

16. Licensed Driver with a clean record

17. Reliable transportation

18. Familiarity to Housing Programs

19. Comfortable with High Volume Leasing

20. Money Motivated

21. Must be able to work alternating Weekends

Additional skills

1. Yardi property management

2. Xora field worker tracking

3. Training or skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Access is key. (Microsoft Office certification is plus)

4. Bilingual a plus

5. Worked in communities over 300 units
