Bacchanal is seeking an experienced bread baker to support the pastry chef in a buzzing, fast paced kitchen that supplies Bacchanal, The Elysian Bar, and Bacchanal Catering with bread, pastries and desserts.
Applicants should have at least two years experience and have knowledge of mixing and baking naturally leavened bread. All of our products feature fresh milled flour.
A broader knowledge of other pastries and plated desserts is especially helpful, as the ideal applicant will be cross trained in other departments.
This position requires the ability to work solo and also around others. Great communication and organizational skills are a must!
A little about our space! The commissary kitchen, located in the historic Bywater neighborhood, houses the pastry, bread, catering and world class cheese program. Our small group of dedicated culinary professionals works closely together in a collaborative space where our passion for high quality food is paired with an incredible workplace culture.
This is a full time position that must have open availability.
