Systems AnalystNew Orleans, LAJob DescriptionPrimary PurposeThe purpose of the System Analyst is to provide technical support to the project team for the execution of controls design, controls installation, retro-commissioning, metering solutions, and data analytics.Essential DutiesSystem Analyst’s responsibilities include supporting survey and technical solution development. Specific responsibilities include:· Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions.· Designs and prepares drawings for building automation system controls.· Complete minimum airflow calculations per the applicable code. (ASHRAE 170, 62.1, or other state/local codes.)· Implement basic building automation system programming modifications as directed by the project lead.· Asst in the implementation of advanced building automation system programming modifications as directed by the project lead.· Asst in the completion of energy savings calculations.· Attends meetings with owners, clients, and sub-contractors. Prepares meeting notes and site observation reports.· Participates in internal and external training programs as required by supervisor.· Any other duties as assigned by Company Leadership.Travel RequirementsTravel will be required and is dependent on project location and needs. The travel commitment is estimated to be as high as 50% of regular work schedule per month. Generally, travel is during the work week and not expected over weekends.Skills & RequirementsMinimum Qualifications· Bachelor degree in an Engineering Field or 4 year’s of experience in relevant field. Relevant field includes building automation system controls, energy audits, or building commissioning.· Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Work, Excel, PowerPoint.· Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Qualifications (OPTIONAL)· Registered Engineering Intern (EI) licensure· CEM certification· Healthcare or Higher Education project experience.· Building Automation System programming experience. Preferred systems include Siemens, JCI, Honeywell, Trane, Struxureware,, and Tridium.· Proficient in ACAD.Physical/Work Environment Requirements· The work environment will be a combination of an office environment and site survey environment.· Site surveys will include exposure to external weather, loud noises, and poorly accessible spaces.· Ability to survey confined spaces within a facility to gather necessary information on building equipment.· The use of ladders to survey equipment above ceiling is required periodically.Bernhard is an equal employment opportunity employer.
