We are leveraging that expertise to build a new team in Lafayette, IN supporting one of the largest defense contractors in the country. As a member of this team, you will be on the front lines helping establish the next big account for QuEST. Experienced managers in Delivery will be supporting you and the new team as we launch a team to provide support to our customers’ procurement function.The RoleTo be successful in this role, you need a background in procurement and the behavioral skills to influence without authority. You will perform a critical support role in assisting overburdened buyers, allowing them to focus on their core competencies. You will be among the first QuEST team members executing this work for this customer and will need to help new team members come up to speed as the engagement expands. Our focus is on fostering a collaborative environment based on the belief that we can be more effective and achieve more as a team rather than individually.Job FunctionsIn this role, you will be performing a range of administrative tasks supporting our customer’s procurement team. This includes acting as a liaison among procurement, suppliers, and engineering. Tasks may include the following:

Gathering information from suppliers and updating systems (delivery dates, shortages, etc.)

Ensuring suppliers & the customer have all paperwork in order so that orders can be placed and parts can be shipped.

Assembly of technical data packages for suppliers for RFQs.

Management of supplier returns and return purchase orders.

These tasks are representative of the work that will be completed.QualificationsWe’re excited to talk to you if:

Hold at least an Associate’s Degree or certification in Supply Chain and have 1-2 years of experience in procurement, preferably for a manufacturing company.

Have a basic understanding of the full procure to pay process.

Have exposure to ERP systems, SAP preferred.

Are proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Work well in a team oriented environment.

Like to work in a fast paced, creative environment without a lot of management oversite. You are independent and forward facing.
