Employing more than 92,000 people representing over 140 nationalities and working in approximately 85 countries, Schlumberger provides the industry’s widest range of products and services from exploration through production.Maintenance Technician (requires a high level of troubleshooting and repair skills)Maintenance Technicians provide technical and maintenance support to Schlumberger field teams to help them deliver efficient and effective quality services to their clients.The Electronic Technician is responsible for the maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of all electronic, electric and computer based equipment in accordance with local and Schlumberger safety standards and guidelines.The Mechanic Technician is responsible for the maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of all diesel, hydraulic and mechanical based equipment in accordance with local and Schlumberger safety standards and guidelines.Various levels of maintenance and troubleshooting skills are required in the Maintenance Technician positions across the different Schlumberger divisions such as basic troubleshooting to micro-component repair. Maintenance Technicians receive intense training in troubleshooting Schlumberger’s highly technical equipment, technical procedures and safety. They will attend their initial Schlumberger technical training course within 6 months of employment. The initial training course will be 4 to 6 weeks in length and is for the employee only as it is 6 days a week with projects and the weekends.Maintenance Technicians are expected to develop rapidly and will assume a great deal of responsibility early in their career. They must also have a high degreeof independence, the ability to work under pressure, and a willingness to work in varying conditions.Requirements are:

Technical schooling/training in an electronics or mechanical-related field (two-year degree or military training) OR Equivalent military experience

Minimum GPA 2.8 / 4.0

Valid driving license and an acceptable driving record
