Performing general labor involved in the mining of salt in a safe and efficient manner.

This role consists of drilling, loading shots, scaling, excavating, and cutting.

Mine experience is a plus.

Must be motivated and a good communicator.

Additional Information:

Louisiana State Explosive license to be acquired during training.

Looking for people who can operate equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, front end loaders.

The hourly rate to start is $25.09 then after 90 day probation it is $27.09.

QualificationsRequired:

Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.

Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a plant environment.

High School diploma or Equivalent.

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts.

Ability to workovertime.

Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces.

Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold.

Ability to work in elevated areas.

Must be able to operate machinery.

Must be able to operate heavy equipment such as bulldozer, front end loader, back hoe, etc.

Must be able to read/write English.

Basic computer skills.

Preferred:

Prior experience in production related work.
