Our veterinary hospital was established in 1957 and continues to grow. We offer bathing, grooming, and boarding services to our clients in addition to normal veterinary services. Our office is open weekdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
We are now accepting resumes for receptionists, technicians, and kennel staff or persons who can fill multiple positions. We may hire one full time person or several folks part time. We prefer that applicants have experience in the veterinary field, but we will also consider eager rookies. Pay will vary with skills and experience.
Technicians are expected to be capable of lifting fifty pounds, to assist veterinarians in the exam room and surgery, with x-rays, obtaining lab samples and analyzing them, filling prescriptions, administering medications, communicating with clients, to keep work area and equipment clean and well maintained, etc. Receptionists are expected to greet and wait on clients, answer the phone, schedule appointments, prepare invoices and conduct financial transactions, prepare files for incoming clients, to keep work area clean and well maintained, etc. Kennel Assistants are expected to be capable of lifting fifty pounds, to bathe and comb out dogs, walk them, clean cages, wash laundry, to keep work area clean and well maintained, etc. Both technicians and kennel assistants are expected to take turn in a rotation to clean kennels and administer medications on Sundays.
