Job LocationUSA, Louisville, KYJob Posting TitleDistribution Track and Trace Coordinator - 3rd shiftThe ChallengeThe Distribution Track and Trace Coordinator will be responsible for tracking all truckload shipments shipping from a designated Appliance Distribution Center or Manufacturing Factory. This person must be able to strongly communicate with our GEA team, carriers, ADCs and customers of any shipping delays utilizing multiple programs – OTM, CICS, iDS, TrackX, or OTR Vis provider. The ability to critically think through situations to identify quick and efficient solutions to minimize customer impact is essential. The track and trace specialist will also be responsible for recording accurate data to help enable transportation negotiate rates or make service related decisions. This person will also need to be able to navigate through Microsoft Access and Excel to provide reporting to logistics and transportation. This is a third shift position.What you will DoEssential Responsibilities:
Utilize a variety of technology programs to identify late deliveries and proactively resolve or notify customers for resolution
Resolve active delivery issues such as missed shipments, load re-delivery, missing paperwork or paperwork discrepancies, detention, jobsites not ready
Recover new deliveries after original carrier failures. This may involve collecting shipment quotes from brokers, negotiating spot rates, and re-assigning loads
Act as a liaison with the Appliance Distribution Centers and motor carrier management, identifying missing equipment and helping Appliance Distribution Centers meet required bill times to meet on time deliveries for customers
Interact daily with Customer Service, field sales, and customers to proactively solve issues before they arise
Accurately record on time data within the database
Partner with the Transportation Manager to identify lanes not meeting service standards
Report out transportation service scores in “POD” meetings
Email with GEA internal teams to provide status updates on orders or help direct other inquiries
Confirm reschedule appointments with receivers – customers, SDS agents, ADC’s
Cross-train with team members and update documentation and SOPs to drive standard work and process improvement
What you need to SucceedMinimum Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (5+ years of experience)
Minimum of two years’ work experience
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
High focus on customer service
Clear thinker in a fast-paced environment
Proven experience in teams
Capable of multi-tasking and providing strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of two years’ work experience in a business environment
Proficient in MS Excel and Web Based applications
Previous experience in order service, sales, transportation, or logistics
Previous experience in working from Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
