You bring the passion and courage to envision limitless possibilities and we’ll build a better tomorrow with you.Lockheed Martin is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer to work in Colorado on a cutting-edge team developing embedded systems solutions targeting problems related to (but not limited to) cyber security.About the job:As one of the largest defense contractors in the world, Lockheed Martin is responsible for developing embedded systems platforms in many exciting domains including satellites and avionics. This position provides the opportunity to get involved on the ground-floor of an exciting new program designing and developing new software and hardware components to be integrated into the future spacecraft. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience designing, integrating and testing complex systems as well as general systems engineering experience including writing and handling test procedures, use cases, and maintaining requirements and verification traceability. Involvement in all phases of software development is required, i.e. development of software requirements and design documents, project plans, test plans, test execution, and training customers on the use of the products. You may also be involved in various embedded and cyber security related research and development projects.In this position, you will be responsible for working with the agile development teams to conduct activity planning and sequencing, resource planning, schedule development, time estimation, systems engineering documentation, hw development, risks and issues management, monitor and report progress, team leadership, and controlling quality of program deliverables.Basic Qualifications:BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with relevant course work.Experience throughout the entire engineering life-cycle, such as system definition, design, build, test and deployment.Experience with agile development, configuration management and continuous integration processes and methodologies.Experience with complex electronics and embedded systems, such as FPGA and hardware development.Minimum of 4-5 years of C/C development experience.Experience working in Linux development environment.Desired Skills:2-3 years of Linux kernel development experience.Experience developing embedded systems in safety-relevant domains (e.g. aerospace, health, automotive).Experience working with and writing Python tools and test-benches.Experience preparing system architectures and appropriate UML diagrams.Ability to lead and work in all aspects of the cyber architecture, systems engineering and operations support efforts associated with the development, integration, testing and demonstration of a system solution which aligns with all security and performance requirements.Strong technical communication skills (experience communicating technical designs to non-technical customers and communicating customer desires to technical team).Experience with industry standard agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence.Understanding of networking standards (IPv6, UDP, etc) and network security.Demonstrated understanding of agile development within both a scrum team and waterfall development contract environment.Demonstrate organizational skills when handling multiple tasks at a time.Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.Ability to adapt well to change, as the working environment has evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
