Established in 1994 as a one-man operation, Rainbow Design Services has since grown to be a proud leader in the telecommunications industry with nearly 500 diverse employees. We partner with some of the nations largest cable MSOs to survey, draft, and design cable routes across America. Due to the continued growth of the company, we are seeking entry-level, 2nd shift CAD drafters to help us stay on top of our game.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
A background in computer-aided drafting (CAD) or GIS experience is preferred, but no previous drafting experience is required. If you have a strong work ethic and are fluent with Microsoft OS suite and/or design software such as the Adobe suite, we want to hear from you. Graphic designers and tech-savvy applicants are encouraged to apply.
POSITION OVERVIEW
As an entry-level Drafter, you will receive two weeks of paid, on-the-job training during which youll learn the basics of the growing telecommunications industry and become proficient with CAD mapping software. After training, your primary responsibility will be analyzing source prints, and re-drafting new and improved maps according to the projects specs. A typical day will include drafting, researching, and performing quality control checks on your map. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, but will have the benefit of a team environment. You will be supported by the Production Supervisors, who will provide ongoing feedback and career development.
Our 2nd shift is ideal for those who desire a sustainable career path, but do not wish to work traditional 9-to-5 hours. The hours for this position are 2nd shift, M-F, 4:00 PM 12:30 AM. Occasional overtime is expected.
LOCATION
Our Linn Station office is located in J-town (in Louisville, KY). We have a casual dress code where T-shirts and sneakers are the norm. At this time, we are offering full-time, on-site work only.
