The Leidos Information Technology Group in Kevil, Kentucky has an opening for a Network Technologist to work in our Kevil, Kentucky office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in helping the Swift and Staley Infrastructure Support Services Contract at the Paducah Department of Energy site located at the former Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant.

Primary Responsibilities

List daily duties and/or specific job responsibilities.

This position will be responsible for helping to maintain and configure the network infrastructure at the site which utilizes a Gigabit Ethernet backbone supporting multiple virtual LANs, a site wireless network with over 130 access points. The position will also be responsible for monitoring network performance and for maintain security updates and upgrades to site equipment.

Basic Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree with 2 years' experience, or 4 years' experience in lieu of a degree Experience with configuring and maintaining layer 2 and layer 3 networks utilizing Cisco switches and routing equipment. Experience with maintaining and configuring Wi-Fi network equipment. Experience with firewall and VPN technologies. Experience with management of mobile devices, and knowledge of TCP/IP addressing and subnetting is required. Experience with network monitoring software.

Preferred Qualifications

Cisco Certifications (CCDA, CCNA), Network+ Certifications, experience with radio technologies, experience with Voice over IP PBX equipment, Redline Wireless equipment, ADSL DSLAMs
