Jack Morton is looking for a Graphic Designer to assist our team in Detroit on a Temporary/Project basis. Our Graphic Designers operate in an exciting, high volume environment to execute the design process from idea development through project completion by producing deliverables.
What we will expect from you:
Quick and thorough design skills in multiple media – using various executional platforms including presentations, print and signage – with special emphasis on the more technical mediums of video and digital design
Ensure consistency of brand across all touch points, these may include print, exhibition graphics, branding, presentation materials and ideas visualization.
Able to work with partners to ensure design integrity, color accuracy and image quality are met in all formats
Stay abreast of technical, cultural and business trends that could positively influence and focus the work we deliver to support our client's business strategies
Able to create graphics development and design for multiple programs simultaneously
What we require:
3-5 years design experience
Preferred Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design/Art and Design or related field of study
Strong conceptual skills relating to brand marketing and graphic design in multiple media
Excellent creative and artistic presentation skills
Knowledge and experience with relevant software platforms, such as CS6 (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) PowerPoint and Keynote
Must possess excellent time management skills and have a sense of urgency; proven ability to work on multiple projects at any given time
Specific Job Responsibilities
Content creation: Work with the team to brainstorm and implement our ongoing media campaigns across all channels.
Content design and production: Using the Adobe Creative Suite and Tools like Figma etc. determine specs and produce materials for review and publishing. Materials will include: website graphics, email layouts and graphics, social media graphics etc.
Create Content: Work with our agencies, internal teams and outside contractors to identify, create and post valuable content that aligns with our marketing efforts and is valuable to our customers.
Website and Storefront Management: Continually monitor and improve website experience and storefront content to create the best possible experience for the customer.
Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Product Development teams to grow audiences and introduce new products to market.
Project Management Skills: Create projects with tasks, assignees, deadlines, and workflows for the marketing team.
What You Need
0-4 years of experience as a graphic designer
Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, and a willingness to learn new programs quickly. Experience with Figma and Shopify a plus.
Must have excellent writing, presentation and communication skills
Must have some experience with photography and video editing (include an example in your portfolio).
Positive attitude with an eye for detail.
Must have excellent computer skills.
Be a great team player, who learns new systems quickly (and is able to create them!)
