ROLE PURPOSE: The junior cook has an opportunity develop their culinary repertoire and will provide food preparation and basic cooking
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares vegetables, meats, and other ingredients for the station
Provides assistance to the station chef and other senior chefs
Ability to rotate through various sections of the kitchen
Maintains high standards of sanitation and adheres to safety requirements
Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations
Measures dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
Assists with deliveries and stock rotation
