ORGANIZATIONAL SCOPE: Position is responsible for supporting kitchen staff along with restaurant servers.

Expos and food runners are the restaurants gatekeepers, the bridge between our guests, and both front and back of house operations. Expediters are responsible for organizing food orders, to-Gos and delivering menu items to guests, where necessary answering menu questions and dispensing support to service staff, and the back of house team. Must be a well versed on all Post menu items and components to each dish, strive to become the ingredient and allergen expert in the building, be a detail-oriented taskmaster, possess excellent communication skills and thrive in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Candidates should be organized, hard-working, eager to learn, cool under pressure and adaptable. We are looking for 2 (two) energetic, enthusiastic people to join our growing family in the West Wichita area. We are a high volume, fast paced establishment that require constant movement. Your reasonabilitys will include but not limited to, selling tickets that are ready on your window and running food to tables with-in the establishment. Cleaning, maintaining of your section. Prepping some food items used with-in your role (training given) and basic assistant with co-workers. If you feel like this is you then please read the requirements needed for this position.

Must have at least 1 years independent restaurant experience. (No Franchise)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

ALL STATIONS: Ensure that all plates are presented to company standard.

WINDOW: Reads tickets, pulls product from window in order specified on ticket, calls side items and any special instructions, coordinates and communicates with grill cooks, line cooks and other food runners.

GARNISH AND PRESENTATION: Confirms proper placement of product, side items and any special instructions, places the correct sauce with each item, places brown sugar in sweet potatoes, changes plates and/or wipes excess fluids from plate and garnishes, places order on trays according to computer ticket.

Maintain personal health and sanitation standards (hand washing, glove use, etc.)

Inform managers and team members of any 86-ed items

Monitors all condiments, garnishes, hand wipes and take out items.

Stocks appetizer plates, soup spoons and steak knives.

Delivers ordered food to guests in a timely fashion.

Ensures that the food ordered by guests is served properly.

Ensures that all ordered food is announced to guests at their tables.

Informs a manager and server if guests have any issues when food is delivered.

Must have the ability to retain knowledge of all food and beverage menu items.

Maintains communication between kitchen and servers.

Breaks down the kitchen station at the end of shift.

Performs any and all opening and closing side duties.

Performs all duties in adherence to all company standards.

Must have the ability to provide friendly, courteous and professional service to all internal and external customers/guests, at all times.

Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Must have the ability to report to work on time and on a regular basis.

Other duties as assigned.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Knowledge and Skills:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: At least one-year previous experience in a high volume restaurant in a related position. Previous experience as a Food Runner preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Customer service oriented.

Knowledge of food and beverages.

Proper alcohol awareness certification where applicable.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work in a team and independently.

Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.

Ability to successfully work in a fast paced environment.

Ability to maintain composure in a potentially stressful environment.

Ability to attend all required company meetings.

Must have at least 1 years independent restaurant experience. (No Franchise)

Must be able to speak English (Spanish is a bonus)

Must be clean/presentable (customer interaction involved)

Must be able to lift trays that weigh up to 30/40lbs.
