This role is for somebody with a passion for Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Continuous Improvement (CI) of processes and tools. The ideal candidate has experience in IT, Operations, Finance or Supply Chain.This role will offer exposure and accountability to a wide range of supply chain activities with a focus on Demand Planning utilizing tools such as SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning), Logility, Tableau and PowerBI. Other areas of interaction are:
Sales and Account Management
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP)/Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
Optimization and Analytics
Production Planning and Scheduling
Statistics and Analysis.
Principal Accountabilities60% FORECASTING
Maintains data relative to demand forecasting including hierarchy, historical data cleansing, demand sensing data and forecast model parameters
Performs Product Lifecycle Management inputs with some direction from manager
Performs statistical forecasting activities with some input, including running the statistical forecast, managing exceptions and adjusting as necessary
Gathers and incorporates commercial and marketing intelligence into the demand forecast
Keeps process documentation maintained and current
Evaluates and incorporates Demand Sensing information into forecasting activities in accordance with set strategy.
30% INTEGRATED BUSINESS PLANNING/Sales and Operations Planning
Provide Demand Planning inputs for the S&OP/IBP cycle.
Uses thorough knowledge to execute follow up action items from S&OP/IBP meetings as assigned.
10% BUSINESS PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT/METRICS
Provide Input in setting Demand Planning metrics targets
Input in analyzing actual measure vs. target measures in medium size and planning complexity network
Provides input in developing action plans to close gaps between target and actual measures
Input to continual Demand Planning process improvement input
Provides assistance in root cause analysis to identify and correct forecast deviations.
QualificationsMinimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with focus in IT, Finance, Operations, Business, Supply Chain Management or similar
2 years of experience in a similar role.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher education.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Business Intelligence, Tableau, Power BI, etc)
Advanced proficiency in standard business applications (e.g. MS Office Suite).
