Researching, writing, and publishing industry-relevant content that can be re-purposed through a variety of channels to build brand identity and online presence.
Assisting in the development of an annual content marketing editorial calendar that supports marketing and business objectives.
Utilizing marketing metrics and digital analytics to formulate content strategy and topics; analyze that same data to measure effectiveness and gauge topic interest in published content.
Editing, prooing, and providing suggestions to improve content for other employees as needed.
Optimizing content for SEO and manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic.
Monitoring content activities of competitors and keep up-to-date with industry best practices.
Collaborating across departments, teams, and offices to produce content.
Adhering to the Henderson brand voice when developing any content and liaise with other content writers to ensure brand consistency.
We'd love for you to apply for this position if you?
Bachelor?s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field required.
3-5 years? experience in a similar role (as a content writer, copywriter, or similar) either in-house at a company or within a PR/communications agency. Provide portfolio of published articles as examples of work when applying.
Prefer experience within a related industry such as engineering, construction, architecture, or other professional service, but not required.
Creative story-teller with the ability to develop original content that provokes engagement
Excellent writing skills (including editing and prooing)
Effective communicator who can interact with all levels both inside and outside the organization.
Adept at keyword placement, content optimization, and SEO best practices; familiar with social media metrics; and have basic technical knowledge of HTML, web publishing, and web traffic metrics
Team player with positive and collaborative attitude
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment with good attention to detail and organizational skills
Self-driven to take ownership of assignments and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and content management systems (i.e. WordPress)
