Working in the correctional environment, you will be able to provide high quality health care to patients that have likely not received the care they have needed prior to incarceration.ResponsibilitiesAs a part time Dental Assistant at Larned Correctional Facility you will:
Assist Dentist during treatment, providing instruments, material retraction or suction.
Prepare for each patient, ensuring that the proper materials are ready and properly sanitized.
Assist in maintaining dental charts and records.
Ensure safety by follow proper security protocol, especially focused on sharps, medications and keys.
Experience & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of dental assistant experience.
CPR certification.
Knowledgeable of specific state laws and regulations governing practice.
