The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk.The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.Wells Fargo Auto is focused on helping our customers meet their financial needs through financing the purchase or refinancing of an existing automobile loan. Loans are acquired through the Indirect and Direct Auto channels and are aimed at helping our customers achieve an ability to acquire transportation vehicles to get back and forth to workThe RoleAuto Credit Risk is in the process of delivering a proactive, data driven, and empirically based credit risk framework executed with new technology, workflow, policy controls, data and decisioning approaches. This role will support that vision via Data Infrastructure improvements responsibilities including:

Implement new capabilities for quantifying impacts of Credit Risk counter measures implemented within the Credit Decision process

Drive changes to how we monitor and deliver insights for the credit portfolio

Contribute to the development of complex programming models to extract data and/or manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling

Partner with cross-enterprise risk analysts in development of common modeling strategies

Partner closely with other data infrastructure teams and stakeholders within Consumer Lending and Corporate Credit to help design and execute on a credit risk infrastructure focused on meeting the analytical needs of the Auto Credit Risk team.

Provide work direction to lower level analyst/consultants

Build scalability into solutions so that they can broadly leveraged

Include data validation and documentation as part of each solution

Manage large scale cross-functional/cross-business data efforts

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong technical/process leadership with high interpersonal effectiveness

Specific Activities

Using Agile-like processes, broadly participate in grooming of work items within Auto Credit Risk Data Infrastructure space

Own the implementation of work items assigned

Contribute to development, maintenance, and enhancement of existing and new analytical SAS repositories

Upgrade controls/documentation/procedures/processes as appropriate

Assist with development of guidance and standards to be used by all Credit Risk users inclusive of leadership and development of common code library

Oversee data warehouse improvements, research and identification of data warehouse gaps, and development of remediation plans

Contribute appropriately to improving these capabilities; data sourcing, automation, ETL (extract, transform, load), validation, aggregation, reporting, ad hoc research and overall solution architecture

Coordination with CRDM/Data Warehouse/Reporting team on all definitions/field usage

Key participant in change control process

Key resource to ensure alignment with Corporate initiatives
