We are seeking a Software Systems Engineer to work onsite at John Deeres facility in Ottumwa, IA. This is a contingent position forecasted for 12 months. Within this role, you will be responsible for gathering, documenting, and communicating systems requirements for electro-hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems on an agricultural vehicle. You will be working with electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical engineers to generate these requirements from hydraulic and electrical schematics. The requirements you write will be consumed by software architects and developers producing software for new product development.Required Skills:Bachelors degree in Electrical/Computer/Mechanical/Ag Engineering3+ years of experience writing system requirements (System Levels 4 & 5) for software developmentExperience with electro-hydraulic systems on vehiclesExcellent communication skills, especially technical writing in EnglishExperience with agricultural equipmentExperience with software developmentExperience with PREEVision software This position is located in Ottumwa, IA.
