Position Title: Packaging
Wage: $14.65/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 7am-3:30pm
This 1st shift position is just a short drive from the Cedar Valley area. This company offers great pay, great hours and a climate controlled workspace. They are looking for dependable packagers with great attention to detail. Temporary packaging role. If you would like to learn more about this position, please reach out!
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Package products into gift boxes in a timely manner and return them to the proper location for storage or order picking
- Sleeve all products in a timely manner and return them to the proper location for bagging
- Maintain accurate piece counts for record keeping and inventory
- Pay very close attention to qualify from previous workstations
- Follow recognized safe work practices and procedures by taking immediate action to report, correct and eliminate hazardous conditions or behaviors in your work area
- General housekeeping duties in your work area are required
- With the use of computer and your employee badge, accurately scan your in and out times, job duties and numbers and be able to approve your scans at the end of your shift
- May have slow periods due to sales demands requiring the employee to assist in other areas that are not normally in your daily routine to ensure smooth operation of our total company order processing
- Work closely with Shipping/Receiving Supervisor to ensure accurate levels of inventory are being disbursed between gift set assembly and sleeving to meet customer needs
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Packaging and warehouse experience preferred
- Must have the ability to speak, read and write the English language and communicate effectively verbally and in writing and have an adequate level of literacy
- Must have dexterous use of both hands, good corrected vision and be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving your whole body
- Must be able to stand in one place for up to 8 hours
- Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
- Able to work overtime when needed
