Bridge Crew Welder
Position Location: 306 N 28th Road Syracuse, NE
Job Summary
Bridge Crew Welder, performing all task required in bridge construction. Selected applicants will be offered a position that includes a 60-day probationary period with an evaluation of performance and potential full-time position with benefits. Normal work week is 5 days in length, Monday thru Friday, with Saturday being available as make-up for inclement weather or other factors. Hours of work will range between 40 and 60 hours per week. Out of town travel required. Per diem paid when overnight stay is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
Be dependable and reliable and attend work as expected.
Have an ability and willingness to learn.
Communicate with Supervisor.
Perform work in a safe manner.
Willing to learn to Operate a welder and cutting torch.
Assist in excavation and backfill using a shovel and jumping jack tamper.
Place and tie reinforcing steel.
Place, vibrate, and finish concrete.
Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Demonstrate use and care for tools, equipment and materials.
Requirements
Be eligible for employment in the United States through E-Verify.
Valid Drivers License. CDL preferred but not required.
Must be 18 years of age.
Able to pass a physical exam and drug screen for the purpose of obtaining a DOT Medical Card.
Employee must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Arc welding experience.
Must be able to work at heights of 45ft.(climb a ladder when pile driving)
Must have reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Employees must be able to work around heavy equipment and machinery.
Read, write and communicate in English.
Pass a background check after the 60-day probation period.
Prior construction experience is preferred but not required.
Live within a 75-mile radius of Midwest Underground, Inc. in Syracuse, NE
