This person will assist with overseeing the overall day-to-day operation of the golf shop and will ensure that all guest needs are met, and the golf experience exceeds their expectations by providing exceptional service and hospitality. The golf operations assistant will lead by example in the interaction with guests and be instrumental in generating as well as assisting in the preparation and execution of golf events on weekly, monthly or annual outings.

We encourage retired or semi-retired applicants who have a knowledge or love of golf!

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure guests are well served, and maintain maximum levels of customer satisfaction.

Responsible for supporting all duties related to tournament coordination.

Ensure proper procedures are followed, as outlined, in the day-to-day operation of the golf shop, e.g., opening / closing, inventories, cash controls etc.

Assist in the orientation and training of all new hires for the golf shop.

Assist in day-to-day operational duties with fellow associates including guest services, which can include handling cart preparation, staging, clean up during the course of the day. And to assist in any club sponsored golf clinics, lessons and learn to play programs.

Must be computer literate and have ability to be trained to new operating programs.

Starting and maximizing daily play for 9 and 18 hole play

Schedule tee times and answer guest questions / concerns.

Compile all guest information accurately for customer database.

Use standard operating procedures and perform all duties as outlined.

Represent golf club in a professional and courteous manner at all times.

Assist in updating and maintaining all club social media platforms

Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Perform any reasonable tasks assigned by a manager.

This position is part time 20-30hrs per week. Earliest seasonal course closure date is estimated at Nov 1st.

Requirements:

Must have reliable transportation, timely, dependable and willing to cross train for other associate/s backups.

High school diploma required at a minimum.

Must speak and write English language fluently.

Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations involving fractions, decimals and percentages, and to retrieve information from technical sources.
