Design & Technical Services, a division of Volt, is looking for a full-time Technical Illustrator to work on-site with a Fortune 500 construction and forestry equipment manufacturer located in Dubuque, Iowa.Position DescriptionThis position creates graphics that illustrate components, component assemblies, repair procedures and diagnostic information. These illustrations, new and revised, are provided to technical writers to supplement text in parts catalogs, repair manuals, diagnostic manuals, installation instructions, and operator manuals.ResponsibilitiesCreate raster and vector graphics using existing art and product modelsWork closely with technical writers to ensure new graphics are accurate, concise and meet customer needsCreate graphics in accordance with customer standards and policiesAs needed, obtain technical assistance from technical writers, product-support representatives or engineering personnelPrioritize tasks in accordance with publication schedulesSoftware UsedIsoDraw 7.3PTC Creo Parametric and PTC WindchillVis Mockup TeamcenterAdobe: Photoshop, Illustrator, Creative CloudMicrosoft Office: Word, Excel, SharePointRequired High attention to detailClear communication (verbal and written)Able to prioritize and make progress on multiple projects simultaneouslyWorks well both collaboratively and independentlyComputer proficiencyHigh school diploma or G.E.D.Preferred Leadership skillsExperience creating graphics using PTC Creo Parametric, Adobe Photoshop or Adobe IllustratorMechanical and electrical aptitude Pay rate$17 to $22 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.Interested candidates may send their resume for immediate consideration to Brenda Dexter at
