The Foreman role will provide scheduling and technical support to their designated team. The primary responsibility is to ensure the workforce has the product, appropriate resources and information to keep their associated work flowing safely, smoothly, on task, and on time. Additionally, the Foreman will have regular internal/external customer contact with regards to their expectations, quotations and scheduling.RequirementsLeadership presence in promoting safe work practices throughout the organization
Work Order Management
Assist in quoting
Direct the scheduling of work orders
Coordinate staging of work order elements (Chassis, parts, instructions, technical data)
Conduct Daily start-up / status meetings
Make certain scheduled completion dates are met
Productivity and Continuous Improvements
Assist technicians with task completion throughout the job (Tehcnical assistance, efficiency and work flow guidance)
Work with team on creating and enhancing Aspen Equipment Standards (work flow efficiencies, quality improvements
Team and Organizational Dynamics
-Facilitate positive team dynamics and overall morale
-Create a collaborative work environment with team members and support functions
-Assist in employee training, job skill progression and general workplace development
Accuracy, Quality and Final Inspection
Ensure standards of work and manufacturers guidelines are met as well as Aspen's quality expectations achieved
Perform frequent, in-process quality inspections
Conduct final review of job and work performed
Facilitate completion of required testing
Customer Service
Maintain internal/external customer relationships
Support customer training and/or in-services
Ensure customers expectations are met
Follow-up after the sale
In-Process updates and communication
Support with invoicing questions and/or concerns
Skills/Education Required/Desired
High level of Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to understand fundamentals of mechanical systems as related to the commercial truck industry
Fabrication
Welding
Hydraulic system design, assembly and troubleshooting
12V and 24V electrical system design, assembly and troubleshooting
Automotive body preparation and painting
Mathematical skills
