United Pipe Renewal, Inc. (UPR), a subsidiary of United Contractors, Inc. & Subsidiaries, is a trenchless pipeline repair and relining contractor based in Des Moines, with projects throughout the Midwest and other parts of the country. Our technology eliminates the need to dig up yards, streets, and utilities. It allows for a more timely rehabilitation with little impact on the owner or the general public.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Valid driver's license (Class D) or higher is required. CDL is preferred or willingness to obtain is a plus. Must be willing to travel for one to two weeks at a time, depending on where we are working. Must be able to share a hotel room with a co-worker.
No experience is necessary. Training is provided.
Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs., be comfortable using a computer and other technical equipment, and be able to care for and maintain this specialty equipment on a daily basis.
Duties include operating camera and video equipment to assess the condition of underground wastewater lines and laterals, logging information into the computerized assessment system, and using water jet equipment to clean lines as needed.
