TITLE: Human Resources Assistant

JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Assistant at Elliott Equipment Company is responsible for the administrative support for human resources and accounting operation. The Human Resource Assistant performs work of moderate difficulty on a project basis as well. The Human Resource Assistant also helps maintain positive employee relations and fosters a positive work environment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supports Human Resources

Coordinates new-hire paperwork: including facilitating new employee onboarding, running background checks,

creating new employee files, maintaining and updating employee handbooks, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed

Administers and maintains CDL and employee files with completing annual updates as required

Manages time-off requests

Maintains employee files ensuring employee records are organized and kept confidential

Manages all paperwork and processing for termed employees

Supports employee benefits administration

Maintains employee files ensuring employee records are organized and kept confidential

Assist in developing and maintaining a company Annual Review Program

Assist in developing and maintaining company Safety Program

Supports Accounting Office

Administers and maintains drivers logs and expense statements

Process fuel receipts and track diesel purchases

Maintain truck logs for IFTA/IRP tracking

Answers phones and provides administrative support for HR and Accounting when required

Additional duties may also be assigned from other departments as needed

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics CRM)

Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred, but not required

HR Certifications beneficial

1-2 years of HR experience or equivalent clerical support experience

High school diploma required; college experience preferred

COMPENSATION:

Compensation based on job knowledge
