Gilroy's Kitchen + Pub + Patio is now hiring for a Sous Chef. We are seeking highly motivated, creative, and detail-oriented individuals with strong management skills. Our Sous Chef ensures the kitchen runs as a well-oiled machine by preparing food, overseeing the preparation and cooking of food, and enforcing food safety standards. In addition, Sous Chef is responsible for training and developing the kitchen staff, meeting labor goals and fostering a strong team dynamic between BOH and FOH.

Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures the quality and safety of food
Keep the kitchen & walk-in cooler clean, organized and sanitized
Maintains equipment and utensils
Promotes teamwork to create a great guest and employee experience
Accomplishes stations goals
Monitor and maintains food waste and kitchen labor to companys goals
Ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized
Hiring, firing, plus, proper documentation during shift to ensure for accountability of company standards
Duties and responsibilities not limited to above & may change based on companys standards, Chefs standards/needs or overall business needs
Requirements
Proficient in English
Ability to stand on your feet for several hours
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
