Burntside Lodge is a destination restaurant in Northern Minnesota serving food that is at once rustic and modern, accompanied by an off the beaten path wine list. Our menu is influenced by our travels and desire to delight our guests.
We are looking for a sous chef to work in our female-led kitchen and built with a team of people from diverse backgrounds. Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years experience in fine dining or upscale restaurants.
Candidates must have a solid foundation in classical cooking, a positive attitude, attention to detail, and be self-driven. You must also be a good communicator and willing to mentor less experienced cooks.
We serve dinner nightly, 6 days a week. Our season runs from mid-May to the end of September.
This position is for the summer season and is located in a remote area in Northern Minnesota known for it's lakes and wilderness. The resort has been owned and operated by the same family for 78 years and we have a long tradition of excellence in providing our guests with dining and vacation experiences that exceed expectations.
Compensation is based on experience and includes a performance bonus at the end of the season & reimbursement for travel expenses. Lodging is included. Candidates must be able to commit to the entire season.
