DescriptionAccountemps is looking to full-time an Accounting Clerk for an esteemed company in the financial services industry. In this position as an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term temporary-to-full-time position based in the Davenport, Iowa area.What you get to do every single day
Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance
Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
Assist Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
Post financial information to journals and ledgers
Requirements
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
Expertise in property accounting
Solid understanding of customer service
Proficiency in Yardi
Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required
Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
