As we enter our 6th year of serving the Cedar Rapids community and all of Eastern Iowa we have an immediate opening for a PART-TIME applicant to help staff our Cedar Rapids MacHeadQuarters. As the area's only Apple Premium Service Provider and Value Added Reseller we sell and service Apple laptops, desktops, tablets and accessories, in addition to providing support and repair for Apple iPhones.
This position focuses on cell phone repair, along with some troubleshooting and customer support/sales. This position is for weekends. We are open Saturday 10a-7p and Sunday 12p-6p. Primary tasks include iPhone battery and display replacements.
Your personality and background with iPhones and cell phone repair will help us determine your hourly rate. $12-$15/hr. Previous Apple certifications or repair experience are not required but a familiarity with technology, cell phones, cell phone repair, static-safe procedures, FileMaker Pro, and Apple products are a plus. Knowledge of general computer use, web browsing, and basic typing skills are required. Full training is provided.
Applicants are expected to have reliable transportation and a solid work attendance history, operate a cash register and credit card telxon on occasion, and make change. Regular light lifting of up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods of time are required. The positions requires the use of common tools like screw drivers, as well as Apple-specific repair tools. Strong decision-making skills are required.
