Industrial Painting Contractor in search of Business Development Manager

The BDM is often the first point of contact a new potential client will have when they are seeking information on the products and services we provide. They will also respond to RFPs and develop sales in new sales territories.

The Business Development Manager will take over existing accounts and new sales territory. To excel in this role, you should be reliable and an active listener. You should have a compelling sales personality and a hunger to chase and close new business from cold calls and inbound warm leads.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings

Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives

Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities

Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones.

Finding and developing new markets and improving sales

Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Developing quotes and proposals for clients

Quality control

Estimating

Using exceptional customer service skills to maintain customer satisfaction throughout each phase of the project, follow up project completion.

Business Development Manager Requirements/Qualifications

High school diploma.

Previous experience in construction (industrial) and/or sales is preferred but not required

Strong communication skills and IT fluency.

Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.

Excellent organizational skills.

Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Comfortable using a computer for various tasks.

Must possess valid Drivers License.

Willing to travel on a regular basis.

Compete and pass background check and drug screen.

Previous job stability with a minimum of at least 2 years with one place of employment.

Will be willing to work out in the field with our painters and foreman to learn what we do.

OSHA 10hr or higher preferred but not necessary.

Adequate knowledge of safety requirements.

NACE certified a plus.

Fast learner, willing to go through training.

Pass Pre-employment physical.

Pass Pre-employment aptitude test.

Can work with heights/confined spaces/hot or cold conditions.

Self-motivated, positive attitude and ability to work as a team.

Ability to multi-task and utilize good judgement when prioritizing responsibilities.
