Chameleons Pub and Grub is a family owned restaurant looking for a new member to join the team in historic uptown Mount Vernon. The position available is for a Bar Manager this includes working days as a bartender as well as running the business in coordination with the Kitchen Manager.
BASIC BAR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons.
Create bartender and employee schedules.
Maintain stock levels and order supplies when necessary.
Address customer inquiries and complaints.
Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant employees.
Willing to work some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and stay cool under pressure.
Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to carry 25 or more pounds of supplies.
UNIQUE BAR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with local beer representatives to acquire new inventory and rotate beer out seasonally.
Coordinate with the community for upcoming events and find new ways to be involved.
Promote Chameleons through social media, community activities, and specials at the bar.
Salary:
26,000-30,000 depending on experience
This position does include bar shifts (3-4 a week with tips)
